I am Meghana Reddy Kolli
I am someone who believes in the saying “nothing is impossible” and I strongly feel that one can achieve everything with strong willpower and positive motivation. Concept of self love has been an important part of my life and I stand by the fact that loving yourself first is a prerequisite to love the world. I believe I am blessed with my abilities and I look forward to serving the true purpose of my life.
Being a single child,I grew up with centralized love and affection exercising a great amount of liberty and freedom throughout my life. Spending lots of time listening to experiences of my dear ones and understanding life circumstances implanted a sense of self responsibility and self management in me. Travelling and living in various cities across the country helped me experience different backgrounds and catered to build my personality. I enjoy learning concepts of psychology during my leisure time. I also find great interest in epics like Mahabharat, Ramayan, Shivapuran, etc & I can say that understanding and interpreting them taught me great lessons in life.
18 years of education left me with immense knowledge. Schooling to me is not just about learning academic subjects but is more about learning to live. I never had pressure to excel in my academics or extracurriculars and was never forced to do something against my will. I was always a free bird who flew in her own direction enjoying the beauties on her way and marking her milestones with the support of dear ones. Growing in terms of character and attitude was important to me. Balancing my emotional quotient and intelligence quotient was the mission I managed to accomplish at the end of my school life.
One of the most important milestones in my educational life would be completing my CBSE 10th grade with a 10 CGPA in 2016. Past that, I choose the science stream(mathematics, physics, and chemistry) along with English communication & mass media studies. Achieving 94% in 12th CBSE board exams and being a school topper was one of my glorious moments. I am a fresh computer science engineer (2022 passout).
As a computer science student, I started learning and improving my technological skills. I have successfully completed short-term courses on Artificial intelligence, Machine learning, Deep learning & neural networks, the Internet of things, Embedded systems, Blockchain technology, Cloud computing, Cyber security, and Website designing. Further, I can work with programming languages like C, C++, Java, and Python.
I have also done two educational internships in artificial intelligence and data science and worked on real-time projects.
I proactively took up leadership roles and responsibilities at my university. As a head student life associate at my university, I led a team responsible for the coordination between university entities, development & implementation of Student Life policies, initiation, mentoring & management of activities by student clubs. I was also a part of 10 student organizations in my university, two of which I founded (Cooking club, Writers club), and a couple of clubs that I mentored and was part of the core team.
Additionally, I am a certified Cybercrime Intervention Officer under the National Security Database (NSD) who is the first responder to assist cybercrime victims and provide legal advice (specialized in dealing with psycho-social aspects with regards to young adults), and also a certified Clean Ethics Professional.
I was also a Campus ambassador for the Information sharing and analysis center and organized events, webinars & virtual summits, spread cybersecurity awareness among students through campaigns, provided internships and learning opportunities to students. The most significant achievement for me was when I Initiated the center of excellence at Gitam University, and I am currently looking forward to taking it further.
I found interest in diplomacy and developed an inclination towards participating in model united nations. I have attended various conferences as a delegate and executive board member conducted by Harvard IRC, Birla institute of technology, Indian International Model United Nations among others. This platform has helped me improve my skills and knowledge, and also is the most important reason for my interest in national and international affairs.
I was also the Director for Gitam Model United Nations and played an important role in successfully organizing back-to-back pre-conference events like workshops, and social festivals for three months, followed by a 3-day main conference on a global scale. I was majorly involved in operations and external affairs.
I have further been a teamster and earned a lot of work experience in organizing Harvard Model United Nations with worldview education. Interning at AIESEC Hyd gave me exposure to the corporate world dealing with corporate clients and students across the world.
Planning and Organizing events have always given me great pleasure. From being an enthusiastic student in the school to being a part of the student body in university, I gained a good amount of experience in management activities.
I have been a creative person and always opened my doors to try and experience different activities which later became my hobbies and skills.
I am an artist; I make paintings, sketches, doodles, and craftworks. Some of My artworks are inspired by others, some are out of expression of my deep thoughts and some are fusion works.I enjoy writing, a passion I have developed in the recent past. I have always been a child appreciated for my writing skills in school although it was never really something I focused upon back then. However, I slowly developed an inclination towards the world of literature as a result of coming across various literature works that inspired me and also fueled my will to express my thoughts. I write articles, features, philosophies, poems, short stories, quotes, captions, and much more. I have developed an interest in photography after school, The main reason being my access and usage of mobile phone with great camera quality. I am not a professional, but I enjoy capturing mesmerizing things. I spend a lot of time creating and extracting beauty in simple things.I am a passionate cook and enjoy playing with various ingredients and flavors. I like to experiment and discover new recipes. At the same time,I get immense pleasure in making traditional foods. I am very fond of feeding loved ones which gives me satisfaction and peace. And to top it all, I am a foodie. Eating the food I make rewards me with contentment. Performing arts like dancing, acting and singing have also been areas of my interest and I always enjoyed performing on stage. I have also learned Veena in my childhood and look forward to continuing practicing it soon in the future.
Today I stand pride as an independent, confident young girl on her way to conquering the world. I am now looking forward to pursuing my higher education in management at IIM.
I am grateful to God for blessing me with all my abilities and I am extremely fortunate to receive an enormous amount of support and encouragement from my parents, teachers, and peers.
