Megha’s Mind Curls turns ONE

The clock is ticking, and time is running. Everything happened all of a sudden with random ideas striking my head harder than the water droplets in the shower. The outbreak of the coronavirus and the consequences brought in by the pandemic were something that none of us ever imagined. All of us were locked in our houses. Like most of you out there, even I thought things would get back to normal soon, but the spread of the virus and the world’s condition forced us into the extension of lockdowns further. However, I can say that this was definitely a time I enjoyed. With an ample amount of time in my hand, I was able to spend my days on things that I love to do. I had an opportunity to pursue all my hobbies that I couldn’t dedicate to during my normal busy life.

I have been a creative person and always opened my doors to try and experience different activities, which later became my hobbies and skills.
I am an artist; I make Canvas Paintings- Acrylic & Oil, Water Painting, Pen & Pencil Sketching. Some of my artworks are inspired from others, some are out of an expression of my deep thoughts, and some are fusion works. During the lockdown, I can proudly say I spent a lot of time sharpening my artistic skills, and in fact, I have learnt new techniques and discovered new art styles. Thanks to youtube!

I enjoy writing, a passion I have developed in the recent past. I have always been a child appreciated for my writing skills in school, although it was never really something I focused upon back then. However, I slowly developed an inclination towards the world of literature as a result of coming across various literature works that inspired me and also fueled my will to express my thoughts. I write articles, features, philosophies, poems, short stories, quotes, captions and much more. My interest in
writing developed even more during the pandemic, which pushed me into professional writing zones.
Today, I am a proud co-author of 3 published anthologies and waiting for two of my other books to be published soon.
My published works:
• Lives Of The Twelve – An Adamant Dream [Published by: (SOUL) Speak Out Unfold Letters.]
• The 27 tales – The Highway [Published by: (SOUL) Speak Out Unfold Letters.]
• Dear 2 am Friend – Surreptitious Island Of Thoughts [Published by Suvidhi Publication House]

I have developed an interest in photography after school—the main reason being my access and usage of mobile phone with great camera quality. I am not a professional, but I enjoy capturing mesmerising things. I spend a lot of time creating and extracting beauty in simple things.

I am a passionate cook and enjoy playing with various ingredients and flavours. I like to experiment and discover new recipes. At the same time, I get immense pleasure in making traditional foods. I am very fond of feeding loved ones which gives me satisfaction and peace. And to top it all, I am a foodie. Eating the food I make rewards me with contentment.

As we all know, the pandemic has left us in a situation where we are entirely dependent on the virtual world for anything and everything. Therefore, engaging myself with online courses was one of the significant things I did this year.

This year is a chapter that we never expected to be a part of the syllabus. It’s a chapter that we will never forget in our lives. A chapter that taught us things we never expected to learn. We are those superheroes who are saving the world by staying home. Although I have been staying in between the four walls, I wanted my light to reach the corners of the world. So It was exactly one year ago, on 5th August 2020 that I used my technical knowledge and built a website – my very own space on the world wide web where I share my works. It’s the galaxy of my mind where you can take off with the sparkling stars from my soul and dive deeper to have a glimpse of my literature, art, science and technology and much more. ( http://www.meghasmindcurls.in ). I have simultaneously started an Instagram page for the same purpose. ( @meghas_mind_curls ).

Today I stand proud as an independent, confident young girl on her way to conquering the world. I am grateful to God for blessing me with all my abilities, and I am extremely fortunate to receive an enormous amount of support and encouragement from my parents, teachers, peers and all my well wishers.
