Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is the area of computer science that tries to make machines that can replicate human intelligence. It refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are programmed to think like humans and mimic their actions.

Some times, it is also called machine intelligence and can also be defined as the theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks normally requiring human intelligence such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision making, and translation between languages.

Computer science defines AI research as the study of “intelligent agents”: Any device that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximize its chance of successfully achieving its goals.A more elaborate definition characterizes AI as “a system’s ability to correctly interpret external data, to learn from such data, and to use those learnings to achieve specific goals and tasks through flexible adaptation.”
